There is no better compliment than a family entrusting me to capture their loved ones homecoming. As a military spouse I understand how exciting homecomings are. I also understand that schedules are constantly in flux, that dates and times will change and that homecoming will be a long day. Thats completely okay.
Once you have a general time frame, reach out and keep me up to date. I will fit my schedule to the ships. I will be there for as long or as little as you would like, capturing your loved ones manning the rails, you waiting with your friends, family and fellow spouses, and most importantly the reunion. We can even fit in a mini couple or family session afterwords if you would like. Its my goal to capture it all so you can relive the happy day.
"Helen was absolutely wonderful. The fact that she is also a military spouse meant she was understanding about my husbands changing arrival times! On top of that the pictures were awesome and we had so much fun with her!!" - Bella
“Put your friggin BEST review here. The one that has your past clients screaming your praises til the end of time and tells everyone how their life changed after working with you. Your absolute BEST review needs to go here."

I am currently based in San Diego but I travel all across the country for homecomings, family photos and weddings.
Honestly it varies session to session. But I deliever as many photos as I possibly can. I average around 70 photos for a military homecoming, sometimes its less sometimes its more. I typically deliver around 150 photos for a family session but again it varies.
Honestly it varies. I have booked people a year or two out, before there loved one deploys and I have booked clients the day before their loved on returns.
I only book one couple or family per homecoming unless I am hired by a group of friends or the ship or squadron.
As a military wife I know the drill. Dates shift. Times shift. I know that going in and will work with you to make it work, especially day of. I will stay till you are reunited with your loved one.
Visit my contact page and fill out the contact form. Once I receive your inquiry I will respond with my pricing packet. You will select which package makes the most sense for you. Then I will send you a customized proposal. You will review it, sign the contract and pay the booking fee and your session will be reserved.
Yes! I have incredibly confident photographing at night, in low light settings. I have a flash and my camera has the capability of shooting in low light situations.
We make the most of it. I feel completely comfortable in the rain and fog (within reason). I am quick on my feet and used to pivoting at the last minute, we can always problem solve and make it work!
As a military wife i have my own military ID so typically no. But I always recommend checking with your command just in case!
Honestly I recommend wearing something that you feel comfortable and confident in and that makes you feel like you! Here is a link to a blog with a few homecoming tips.
I do travel for homecomings a family session. I charge an additional $100-$1,000 depending on the location, type of session and time of year.
I do! I am a hybrid photographer. Meaning I can both edit and video your homecoming, last flight, family session, couple session and deployment. We will discuss which moments you would prefer to have filmed vs which you would rather have video of!
It depends on the session. but I typically deliver preview photos within 24hours and full galleries within six weeks (typically sooner).. You can also pay for expedited editing.
