Every NAS JAX VP5 homecoming is unique and special in its own way. It doesn’t matter how many military homecomings I photograph they all stand out to me. One thing is a constant for every military homecoming, times are always shifting. The original time you are given is rarely the correct time. As a result I have made a habit of always arriving an hour or two early to my homecoming sessions.

This past April I arrived at NAS JAX for a homecoming, a storm was moving in so I decided to arrive a little earlier than normal in case the rain caused traffic on the freeway. As soon as I had parked the car my phone buzzed, the homecoming had been delayed a few hours. While waiting for my client to arrive I ran into Hayley. We started talking about deployments, homecomings & her cute red dress (which she got off Amazon). Her husband was scheduled to land any minute, so I offered to take a few photos of their homecoming reunion. He was returning from a six month deployment

Here are a few of my favorite photos from their NAS JAX VP5 homecoming!
