I had my first North Island Naval Air Station Homecoming with the USS Roosevelt last week. After a double pump deployment the aircraft carrier the USS Roosevelt returned home to Coronado! It was one of the sweetest homecomings I have witnessed.

Some of my favorite moments from this North Island Homecoming:

1. Watching the wives & girlfriends stand together to welcome home their spouses.
2. The way the fathers face lite up when he first saw his son, after six months away
3. The son’s helmet. It was decorated specifically for homecoming with helicopters and flags. My favorite part was the quote “My dads got my six.”
4. Megan’s signs! They where so sweet.
